About the AuthorI am an author … sometimes it seems rather braggadocios to say that about myself, but I’ve earned that title by now. I love writing. I love teaching. I love sharing …and all of those ‘loves’ are centered around the Word of God and Israel. Both are very strong loves in my life. My writing is primarily focused on teaching the Word of God through bible stories that have spoken to me over the years – stories that I’ve shared with my friends and family.
I have had the wonderful blessing of traveling to Israel many times (35+ at this writing), I’ve lived and worked there as a volunteer at the International Christian Embassy – Jerusalem (ICEJ), where I met and married my husband – an American Christian who had come to Israel to volunteer for thirty days. Several years later, we were fortunate enough to have a home in Jerusalem for a number of years where we really began to understand the Jewish identity of the country and appreciate her for all she is. I now travel to Israel at least once a year. |
In addition to writing biblical novels, which are my favorite to write, I also write life stories. One of my books, “Who Will Kill the Spiders?” is the story of when my husband and I went from running to catch airplanes to his sudden critical illness that grounded us. Spiders tells of making the transition of my having been beautifully taken care of by him to my becoming his caretaker and all that we dealt with. I chose not to clean it up and make it pretty but to stay with truth and the reality of such life changes. Everyone who has read it always says, “everyone should read this” and I have to say I agree.
I am a ghost writer. What you might ask, what is a ghost writer? Well, it isn't someone who writes about ghosts or scary things. I don't do that although the title of my book, Who Will Kill the Spiders, might give you that idea. A ghost writer is one who writes another person's story in their name. You know, when you see a book that says, "As told to," or "With" someone, then that is a story that has been written by a ghost writer. Why do I do this? I like people and I genuinely believe each person has a story to tell, be it small or large, and I am here to help them tell that story and tell it well.
I became interested in helping others tell their stories when my dad passed away a number of years ago. We were going through his possessions when we found nine pages of handwritten information about his life. I treasure what he wrote and have incorporated it in the book I am working on for my own grandchildren. He didn't write that to have it published or become a famous author. He wrote it out of love for his family so they would know that part of their history, even if they didn't think it was pertinent at the moment. The day will come when my children and grandchildren will treasure those nine pages as I do. Until then, I smile when I think about Daddy doing this for me.
Truly, everyone has a story to tell. I am here to help you tell it well. IM me for more information or email me at [email protected]. I look forward to hearing your story and exploring how we might be able to record it for your family.

My Books
Sometimes life, as we have known it, comes to a screeching halt through circumstances that we have no control over. Who Will Kill the Spiders is the story of a couple who are faced with overwhelming life changes due to a sudden health crisis. You will experience deep emotion as they move from being people running to catch airplanes into the throes of medical captivity and the uncertainty of each day. The raw emotions, anger, fear and a sense of helplessness are told honestly as they try to grasp the thin threads of their new life, looking for answers, for help and finally the conclusion that what once was is gone and this life is their new normal. This is a book for those who are struggling with life’s challenges. It is for those who feel desperation and are looking for hope. There is hope.
